Terms and Conditions of Service

Welcome to Northants Footcare Ltd. By accessing our website, booking an appointment, or receiving treatment, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Professional Status and Scope of Practice

Northants Footcare Ltd provides routine, conservative domiciliary foot care. The primary practitioner, Irina, holds a Level 4 Diploma in Foot Health Practice and is currently undertaking an undergraduate degree in Podiatry.

  • Disclaimer: The practitioner operates as a qualified Foot Health Practitioner (FHP) and student podiatrist. They are not currently registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Podiatrist or Chiropodist.
  • Treatments are strictly limited to the FHP scope of practice. If your condition requires specialist intervention, minor surgery, or prescription medication, you will be referred to your GP or an HCPC-registered podiatrist.

2. Appointments and Domiciliary Visits

  • All treatments are provided on a domiciliary basis (in the patient's own home) within our specified service area in Northamptonshire.
  • We require a safe, well-lit, and reasonably clear space to set up our clinical equipment and provide treatment.

3. Right to Refuse Treatment (Zero Tolerance Policy)

The safety and well-being of our practitioner is paramount. Northants Footcare Ltd operates a strict Lone-Worker Safety Policy.

  • The practitioner reserves the absolute right to refuse entry to a property, cancel an appointment upon arrival, or terminate a treatment midway if they feel threatened, subjected to aggressive or abusive behavior, or if the environment is deemed unsafe or unsanitary.
  • In such events, no refund will be issued, and the patient may be discharged from the practice permanently.

4. Cancellations and Missed Appointments

We understand that unforeseen circumstances arise. However, as a mobile business, late cancellations heavily impact our daily route and scheduling.

  • 24-Hour Notice: We require a minimum of 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
  • Late Cancellations/No-Shows: Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice, or failure to be home at the agreed appointment time, will incur a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the booked treatment cost. This must be settled before any future appointments can be booked.

5. Pricing and Payment

  • All prices are clearly listed on our website and are subject to change. Existing patients will be given a minimum of 30 days' notice prior to any price increases.
  • Payment is strictly due in full immediately upon completion of the home visit.
  • We accept payment via cash, major credit/debit cards (via mobile card reader), or direct bank transfer.

6. Data Protection and Privacy

Northants Footcare Ltd is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). Your personal and medical data is stored securely on our encrypted practice management system (Cliniko) in strict accordance with UK GDPR. Please refer to our separate Privacy Notice for full details on how we manage your data.

7. Liability

While every care is taken to provide safe, evidence-based foot care, Northants Footcare Ltd shall not be held liable for any adverse reactions or complications arising from the patient's failure to disclose relevant medical history, allergies, or failure to follow provided aftercare instructions.
